Going Mobile

Sometimes your mobile site requires a little more juice than responsive design can provide. What if you could utilise your Drupal site to build first-class apps for mobile platforms such as iOS and Android? It's time to fully take advantage of having a powerful CMS and use this to go beyond simply exporting sites into static apps whose content does not change without app updates.

This session will explore creating Drupal powered mobile apps with JavaScript frameworks such as jQuery/Zepto, supporting libraries like jQTouch and Hammer.js and of course good old HTML and CSS. We'll also dive into how to package them up and distribute them on 7 different mobile platforms through PhoneGap.
